The National Youth Skills for Success Academy Mentorship Program

This mentor role is for someone who is passionate about youth education and being at the forefront of innovation in Canada. This is a diverse and exciting role that is critical to the success of the League of Innovators’ newest Discovery program: The National Youth Success Academy (“Success Academy”).  Best suited to an energetic, entrepreneurial-minded, organized, and hands-on community builder who is values-driven and aligns with the mentorship goals of the League of Innovators. You are purpose driven and want to see change in the world, and most importantly our values align with yours (LOI Values: https://www.theleagueofinnovators.com/about)

As the Success Academy Mentor for the Success Academy you will work directly with the Program Manager, Program Coordinator and the Indigenous Curriculum Specialist and our Technical and Digital Skills Curriculum Designers to review, relay and articulate the course concepts to the program mentees.

Mentor Requirements

  • Provide guidance and mentorship that reflects the needs of BIPOC youth and youth with disabilities that is adaptable it for a wider audience (i.e. jobseekers, as well as entrepreneurs);

  • Optimize young people’s potential for employment and entrepreneurship through mentorship

  • Must be available for 1 – 2  hours per week

 
Cohort 1: 

Must be available on Thursday, September 12th at 6:00 PM EST for a brief Mentorship Information Session

Must be available for 1 – 2 hours per week from September 12th – October 30th.

 

Cohort 2: 

Must be available on Thursday, September 12th at 6:00 PM EST for a brief Mentorship Information Session

Must be available for 1 – 2 hours per week from November 14th – December 19th.
